Midnight Madness

A badge for Durham University’s Scout and Guide Group’s annual Midnight Madness 11-mile overnight incident hike, held this year over the weekend of 17th-18th November. The event tests participants’ navigation and map-reading, and presents mental and physical challenges.

We were pleased to provide this very stylish sleepover badge, designed by one of the group’s leaders, for Beavers and Cubs of the 19th Durham Scout Group. A badge celebrating the Guinness World Record for the fastest 5-person 2-way relay swim of the North Channel (Ireland-Scotland-Ireland) awarded to the Open Water Ladies Relay Team, who describe themselves as “a crazy bunch of middle-aged women”.

A badge celebrating the Easter Gang Show 2018 performed by Exeter Scouts and Guides in the Barnfield Theatre. As usual, cast and audiences were “Riding Along on the Crest of a Wave”, enjoying a variety of songs, dancing, and topical sketches.

Pimp my Trolley

The badge for this year’s ’Pimp my Trolley’ night-time challenge on Friday 9th February, organised by North Watford Explorer Scouts. Competing teams of scouts push their ’pimped-out’ supermarket trolleys round the streets of North Watford, visiting a number of bases, and vying for the prestigious ’Pimp my Trolley’ Trophy. It sounds like a lot of fun.
